Ms. Elkins’s love for historic homes traces back to her childhood in northeastern North Carolina. An early fascination with her grandmother’s old farmhouse, as well as the weathered life-saving stations and beach cottages of the Outer Banks, instilled a deep passion for preserving historical architecture and honoring the memories they hold. Ms. Elkins attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead Scholar before earning her Juris Doctor at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. After clerking at the Supreme Court of North Carolina, she practiced law in Tennessee for five years before realizing a lifelong dream of owning an antique store. Ms. Elkins now owns and operates Music Valley Antiques & Marketplace, an antique/vintage mall located just two miles from Two Rivers Mansion.
