John Lavender

John has lived in the Nashville area for over 25 years and is a Landscape Architect working as a Project Executive for Gresham Smith. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and previously worked as the Assistant Greenways Director for Metro Nashville Parks where he gained an interest in the history of the Donelson/Hermitage area and specifically the Stones River and all the historic assets found along the greenway corridor. His career has focused on strategic planning for parks and recreation agencies across the southeast

John was a 2009 graduate of Leadership Donelson Hermitage and served as the Board Chair for the Wilson County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board for 5 years. He is looking forward to offering his assistance and support to the continued preservation and promotion of Two Rivers Mansion and Stone Hall.
